In this WESTERN-STYLE classroom, you will be required to participate FULLY; speak 367% more than you have before; sit at the FRONT; SMILE; use lots of eye contact; sit beside two other ‘genki’ people; SPEAK a LOT with partners in a friendly manner; try hard to learn and SHOW International ’EQ’ [Emotional Intelligence]; show ‘Western’ manners (e.g. cover your mouth when coughing/sneezing/yawning/etc.); use INTERNATIONAL, ‘open’ Body Language(please avoid 'crossed arms'; and avoid a 'poker face'); develop a good sense of HUMOR; use PENS (it is advisable not to use pencils); and learn to think in INTERNATIONAL, cross-cultural ways. You're welcome to this class IF you’re truly MOTIVATED to learn REAL English (not high school “Wasei Eigo”). Please always show a LARGE namecard on your desk, so that the teacher and other students can learn your name; and please bring lots of POSITIVE energy and HUMOR to this class! ‘GO FOR IT!’ (Gambatte!)
