Does your spoken English need a work out? In this class, we will watch presentations about "ideas worth sharing" (TED Talks), learn vocabulary used in each talk and read and discuss the gist of each talk. When telling a speaking partner about a TED Talk, rather than referring to notes, participants are advised to work from six to eight simple drawings that trigger their memory of the main points of the talk. Looking at these drawings, each person explains the talk to a partner and listens to a partner explaining it. This activity is followed by participants in small groups sharing information related to the talk. Past TED topics include: Camel Origins, Cell Gender and Pharmaceudical Testing, Bhutan's Environmental Stance, Origins of the "Story Corps" Initiative and Primate Brain Differences
