カズオ・イシグロの短編集『夜想曲集』を読む〔中級〕─Reading and Discussion

We will read two or three short stories by the Nobel Prize-winning Japanese – British author Kazuo Ishiguro. The stories focus on love and loss, change and adaptation or failure to adapt, and they have musical connections and motifs. We will read aloud in class, working on pronunciation and intonation, and discuss the meaning of individual sentences/paragraphs to assess the accuracy of our understanding. We will discuss the possible meanings/interpretations of the stories as a whole, from a general literary point of view.
